If there’s one thing that keeps coming back to me is how much one piece of music can take me on a journey through memories, heartache, love, inspiration and even laughter. It’s the one thing that maybe even kept ms going… A song can paint a picture in your head, yet alter it with every single beat and note that comes next. It can paint a journey of discovery or that dream of being there for someone whom you’re starting to gain feelings from. At the end of the day, it’s not the aesthetics, the instruments nor the notes… It’s all about the feeling it gives you inside.
In times like these I wander why we’re all tempted by the plights of life that seem to shadow our lives. We’ve all been to this hopeless, lonely place and wondered why we were there and how the hell did we get there. It’s impossible for someone to day ‘chin up!’ or ‘things’ll be okay in the end’ because at the time they’re only words that power a hopeless cause.
But if those plights and doubts begin to grow and nothing happens serious consequences can occur. Yet if you really are the complete opposite of what you were thinking at the time. If you really aren’t worthless and have a good family, good friends and a strong soul then once you get through that the world will be a better place for you.
The moral is that you’re never hopeless, worthless, lonely it even sad. It’s that voice inside of you telling you that you’re bad. And those voices, can quite frankly, fuck off.
You can’t criticise me! So yeah, you’ve got the fast car, the big house, the seventeen bathrooms and the whole state. But you are a cruel old man who’ll never have what I and every other decent man in this town has; a loving family, a home, a soul. So you count your dollar bills, I’m going to see my wife and kids, which YOU can’t buy
I see them every day, in and out of shops, with their loved ones, carrying on with life as though nothing outside their little world is effective to them. The Silents I call them, no voice willing to express to everyone and no true moral value to express and give to others. They go through life sub consciously doing things for their own need, and more than likely they live happily ever after for years and years.
Yet those that truly give, that are selfless and honest, are often damaged and broken inside. They get labelled ‘pushovers’, or just losers. It’s that attitude from the Silents that drive these honest people to an early grave. Just think, those that are selfish and mean never take their own lives. Yet those who have praise from everyone do. That’s the harsh reality in our day and age, and all those who think they are tripe kind and generous, I’m sorry. For myself.
